Services

Options to help you.

Whether you are working through something by yourself, dealing with relationship issues, or want your family to function better — there are options.

Counseling session

One-on-one work focused on you.

Individual Counseling

Individual sessions give you a private space to examine what is getting in your way — whether that is anxiety, depression or anger.  We can also examine your trauma history and the patterns you keep repeating. We will work together to understand the things that are driving the problems and build practical strategies to address them.

Who it's for

Adults dealing with anxiety, depression, anger, addiction, trauma, life transitions or other issues.

What to expect

50-minute sessions, typically weekly to start. The first session will be devoted to asking and answering questions.  This will allow me to get to know what you need and you can ask questions that you might have.

In-person, telehealth, or telephonic

For relationships at a crossroads.

Couples Counseling

Couples counseling is not just for relationships in crisis. Some couples come in to break a cycle they have been stuck in for years. Others come because communication has broken down and they do not know how to reconnect. I work with both partners to identify the real source of conflict and develop tools that work outside the therapy room.  There will be a lot of homework for all concerned.

Who it's for

Couples experiencing communication breakdown, recurring conflict, trust issues, or major life transitions affecting the relationship.

What to expect

50-minute sessions, typically weekly to start. The first session will be devoted to asking and answering questions. This will allow me to get to know what you need and you can ask questions that you might have.  Couples will work together and also have the opportunity to do individual work.

In-person or telehealth

When the whole system needs attention.

Family Counseling

Family dynamics are complicated. They are system.  Systems get broken. It is important to recognize that your family is a system and it can be repaired so that it functions well.  Family counseling brings the relevant members together to address conflict, improve communication, and build healthier patterns.

Who it's for

Families dealing with conflict, a member in crisis, behavioral issues, major transitions, or breakdown in communication between members.

What to expect

50-minute sessions, typically weekly to start. The first session will be devoted to asking and answering questions. This will allow me to get to know what you need and you can ask questions that you might have.

In-person or telehealth

Meeting legal requirements with professional care.

Court-Ordered Counseling

Court-ordered counseling is a legal requirement, but that does not mean that it cannot be genuinely useful. I work with clients referred by the courts — including DWI programs, domestic violence situations, and anger management mandates — with the same professionalism and confidentiality as any other service.   I use specific treatment programs that most courts recognize.  Documentation and compliance reporting are handled accurately and on time.

Who it's for

Individuals required by a court, probation officer, or legal proceeding to complete counseling, anger management, or a DWI program.

What to expect

50-minute sessions, typically weekly to start. The first session will be devoted to asking and answering questions. This will allow me to get to know what you need and you can ask questions that you might have.  Sessions are structured around the specific requirements of your court order. I'll provide documentation of attendance and progress as required.
